• Board certified in nephrology and internal medicine
• Nearly 20 years of ongoing experience performing internal medicine and nephrology utilization reviews
• Has performed thousands of audits for Medicare and Medicaid RACs (recovery audit contractors)
• Has served on Southeast Kidney Council Board of Directors
• Medical director of 2 Davita dialysis units
• Has served as transplant selection designee at Carolinas Medical Center
• Has served on several hospital committees including Pharmacy & Therapeutics and Nutrition Committee
• Active hospital priveleges at Carolinas Medical Center
• Academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Univ of NC at Chapel Hill School of Medicine
• Currently holds multiple active state medical licenses
• Published in peer-reviewed medical journals
• Has served as an internal medicine & nephrology expert witness for both plaintiffs & defendants
• Has served as an expert witness in class-action suits including Fleets Phospho-Soda and Trasylol
